Client Voices: A Force for Change

This year, clients participating in Sunnyfield’s Voice of the Client survey witnessed the early impact of the newly established Client Learning and Ideas Group.

Created in early 2024, this group aims to actively involve clients in the design of services, the development of organizational processes, and decision-making within Sunnyfield. As part of the preparation for the inaugural client-specific survey, three members of the group trialed the questions, providing valuable suggestions that shaped the final survey sent to all clients.

This collaborative effort underscores the commitment to ensuring that client perspectives are integral to the organization's initiatives. The initial members of the Client Learning and Ideas Group are all supported employees.

During their last meeting, a group member had the opportunity to present their views directly to the leadership of Sunnyfield Enterprises. The leadership's forthcoming response will be crucial in establishing a continuous feedback loop, fostering an environment of growth and improvement. Sharon Sundborg, Sunnyfield’s Participation Inclusion Officer, convenes the Client Learning and Ideas Group.

Since assuming this role in late 2023, Sharon has been dedicated to building a significant initiative from the ground up. “I’m passionate about listening to our clients and wanted to be part of this journey,” she shares. With years of experience at Sunnyfield, particularly in Employment Services, Sharon has cultivated strong relationships across the organization. “I started in this role by leveraging people I know and talking with other providers about their approaches,” she explains, highlighting her strategic approach to enhancing client engagement.

As staff become more acquainted with the Client Learning and Ideas Group and its members, they are beginning to recognize broader opportunities for amplifying client voices. This initiative not only advocates for clients within Sunnyfield but also aims to drive meaningful change in the wider community.
