Client-Supplier Feedback

(This post is inspired by my recent conversation with an industry leader who wanted to stay ahead of the game. I wrote this for Staffing agency-specific, however, this can be applied to several other industries too.)

IMP Question to ask:?How often does your team ask for feedback on your services from the customer? I'm not asking for candidate interview feedback or submission quality feedback from the HMs/MSPs.

If you would like to be ahead of the game then start doing it and it's more effective if your Executive Leadership team leads the efforts.?

My initial mentor always adds in client conversations- Dear Client, although you are in Abhishek's efficient hands, however, if you see any area of improvement in our work then please feel welcome to reach out to me directly.?

Learning from this- This process assures the clients that the executive leadership team is also serious about this partnership and they can feel free to share their feedback, which we can use to improve our process.

He used to meet clients to learn more about our work, and feedback. It was always soothing to hear him saying- Abhi, so and so client loves your work, my man. Keep it up and take it easy.

(Fun fact, I used to wonder why he?says Take It Easy, at the time of disconnecting the call, am I not taking?it easy, am I jumping on my chair or sounding like lifting some heavy weights).?

Back to the topic- In case of positive feedback, still ask, what is the one thing we can do better to help the program/Process? Trust me your client/s would appreciate it & share great ideas. The?benefit- You get more thoughts to improve your process,?as well clients see you as a trusted?partner. Many times you can get an edge over your competition.

Frankly speaking, the majority of account managers/client partners limit them to asking about the post-interview feedback. This helps them to improve their recruiting efforts to locate better candidates. And of course, this also gives an answer to whether the interviewed candidate is still in the race or not.?

Super IMP:?In the process of asking for your feedback, use open-ended questions.?

In my early stage, I used to ask, Can you please share our feedback? I truly would like to share it with my Leadership and would like to see what else we can do to help you better. The usual answer I was getting is-I guess you guys are great, keep doing it. We are good. It never worked for me, so I did some brainstorming and changed my Qs.?

For example: What one thing would they add/change to strengthen the relationship??What's the best thing you liked in our process which we keep doing??

Think, involve your Account Management/Client Servicing teams in the process, and even involve your recruitment teams in the brainstorming process. Make it fun, unlike boring & time-killing meetings.?

Please feel welcome to share your ideas, and thoughts and reach out to me directly if I can be of any help at all.?

Take it easy & Enjoy your weekend!
