*****CLIENT SPOTLIGHT

I just thought I would share some of my client’s stories with you in case any of you are still wondering how it is I work and what I can do to help.

When Laura came to me, she was a self-confessed emotional eater (something she no longer identifies with) who was struggling with a few areas of her life, not just food, but felt she needed to do something before it spiraled any further out of control.

I ‘interviewed’ Laura and here is what she had to say:

***What concerns/worries did you have beforehand?

I had to look at my finances for a start and think about the long-term benefits of the monetary investment in Rebecca’s services vs. other expenditures I would have indulged in ‘because I could’. Of course, the positives far outweighed the negatives, I made some ‘fun spending’ budget cuts and decided to invest in me!

Rebecca will be the first to tell you I’m a sucker for organisation, it comes with my line of work and I did my best to plan every step of my first week, there are pictures to prove it! I messaged Rebecca the night before I was due to start my 12 weeks and frantically tried to explain I didn’t have enough recipes and I couldn’t possibly spend all my calories – which was met with a calm response of “Trust Me!”

***What have your results been so far?

Within 12 weeks, I lost 1stone 1pound (6.8kg), which at the end was dead on my target, I wanted to be in the next stone bracket! Not only did the weight come off at a steady pace, I lost inches too; 5.5inches from my waist (14cms) and 6.2inches from my hips (16cms). Two best bits… fitting back into clothes I hadn’t worn for a year and people commenting on how noticeable my weight loss was. Fantastic!

***What have you enjoyed the most?

Finally getting my control back!

I have struggled with my weight since I was a teenager, so much so, I had to have a gastric bypass when I was 22!

I managed to lose a big chunk of my weight in the first 2 years, but year 3 and 4 came and went without any significant weight loss and year 5 saw my first weight gain. I was devastated and found myself slipping into my old eating habits; emotional eating, followed by a guilt trip, followed by more emotional eating.

My desk at work was the new hot spot for a Charity Tuck Shop and I’d gladly donate a quarter of my wages so I could freely raid the fridge of chocolate when no one was looking.

Rebecca helped me; become accountable for my actions, mindful of my mood, mindful of what my body was really saying and day by day, I managed to stop opening that fridge door! I now walk by it and barely notice its existence – but it’s important to say, if I wanted something I could have it.

There’s no such thing as naughty or forbidden food! I have also succeeded since the program, it’s not a fad diet, it’s not something I can fall off for a couple of weeks and whip myself until I start again, this is now my lifestyle, it’s second nature, since finishing my course 4 weeks ago, I’ve continued to lose 7pounds (3.2kg) and my clothes are now starting to get loose!

Oh and those lovely compliments are still rolling in!

***Would you recommend me and if so, why?

Yes! Rebecca is a support system all on her own, she’s a mentor, she’s an advocate for being kinder to yourself and enjoying life, and overall, she’s become a friend.

I find myself messaging her when I’ve lost another pound or I’ve got into a pair of trousers!

Yes, it’s a financial investment, but it’s one that will stay with you for the rest of your life. It’s an investment in you!

If someone told you; you could lose weight without going on a restrictive diet, if someone gave you the opportunity to finally stop beating yourself up over food, if someone gave you the confidence to stop making excuses for why you can’t and start making reasons for why you can… why wouldn’t you take full advantage of that opportunity? I did and I can honestly say, life will never be the same again!
