Our 2025 Predictions
It's set to be a big year for visual design, at least according to our design team!
Here are some of their predictions, hopes, and concerns about visual design and branding work in 2025:
Elena Rimeikaite - Design Director
"As generative AI starts to roll-out brand identities, design systems are set to become more valuable than ever in 2025, and brand guidelines will need to be adapted accordingly. We will soon be building design-systems with both human and AI readers in mind."
Duncan Menzies - Lead Visual Designer
“Visual brands will be designed around motion from the outset, and we can expect to see a greater focus on animation and video."
Claire Smith - Visual Designer
“3D assets are about to become very popular in 2025, especially given the ability of generative AI to build these models. With more efficient 3D designs, we may see far more functional integrations into web pages and other interfaces.”
Lauren Harkin - UI Designer
“Custom typefaces will make a comeback, with brands struggling to differentiate themselves with rounded sans-serif fonts. In general, fonts will become more integral to visual brand identities, and marketing teams will give them the attention that they deserve.”
Evan Farrell - Sales and Marketing Executive
“Audiences are growing tired of the overly wordy language spat out by ChatGPT. This year, clear and concise copywriting will make a return.”
A New Launch for the New Year
Kooba are also delighted to announce the launch of a new website for Bon Secours Health System Ireland, featuring an efficient and clear information architecture which caters to every unique user. The site is fully accessible, marking a strong commitment to inclusion from both Kooba and Bon Secours.
