Clever Tips From Some Clever People
Do One Extra Nice Things Every Day
Ok, so I am not talking about the nice things that you are already doing. I am talking about one EXTRA nice thing. A nice thing you wouldn't normally do, or you don't want to do, or you have to go out of your way to do.
This nice thing doesn't have to be grandiose. It could be offering to get up to get your spouse a drink after both of you just sat down, and you don't even want one yourself. It could be emptying the dishwasher at your office so your receptionist doesn't have to do it. It could be pulling a few weeds out of your neighbours lawn when you walk past. From a real estate perspective, you could send feedback to another agent after a showing that you normally wouldn't have had time to do. Maybe you offer to put up a 'sold' sign for another agent in your office. You can also do extra nice things for your clients, like sending them a nice notecard in the mail, remembering their favorite Starbucks order the next time you see them, or picking up a copy of a new book for them on a topic you know they love.
If you do one extra nice thing every day, that is a whopping 365 extra nice things that you are going to do for other people. That is an insanely big number! And you know what? You are going to feel really good about yourself. And it is going to make you want to do more nice things. And you know what will happen next? People are going to want to do nice things for you. And that will make you happy. And every day, you will walk around with a few more smiles, a few more friends and a bit more pep in your step. And that, my friends, in where success starts in life and in business happens.
Grow Your Database by 50%+ In the Next 12 Months
he size of your database, and the number of people who you keep in touch with regularly, will be a strong indicator of your income level. For this reason, spending time to find ways to organically grow your database with high-trust relationships can be extremely powerful and lucrative.
One of the best organic growth strategies for your business is something called Network Expansion. Network Expansion is simply meeting the people who the people in your database already know. Or put simply, meeting the friends of your friends.
When you meet someone through one of your existing contacts, a significant amount of trust is transferred over from your existing relationship, to the new relationship. This means that you are instantly in a strong position to earn the future business of this new person.
So how can you implement a Network Expansion strategy and meet the people who your database knows? Well, here are a few ideas:
If you focus on Network Expansion over the course of a 12 - 24 month period, you can increase the size of your database by 50%+ contacts a year. This not only has the potential to increase your income by the same amount, but will also present you with many more fulfilling life opportunities.

Eyes Wide Open, the RISK in Goal Getting
Do you know what?the detrimental risk of goal setting is? Hopefully, you like setting goals (or the idea of setting goals), but if you set goals for yourself do you set goals in?all?aspects of your life? Or just the one that interests you the most? Perhaps it is the one that demands the most attention?from you??
I find that most goal oriented people tend to be very goal driven in one, maybe two, and?possibly?three aspects of life. If we take a look at some of the most common areas for goal setting, ask yourself if you have actual goals in each area of your life. Do you have goals in:
Be honest with yourself, do you have specific and measurable?goals with a?timeframe for each aspect of your life? I know I don't! But I'm working on that (and there is LOTS?of room for improvement haha).
What I have learned is that sometimes when some aspects of your life are neglected, not completely ignored but just maintained to the status quo, it can feel like you are doing great in that aspect of your life. However, if neglected long enough, it can become a boiled frog. You see, the "boiling frog syndrome" is based on an analogy?that a frog will jump?into?a boiling pot of water and immediately?escape because they can feel the heat/danger. The same frog can be in a pot of warm water where the temperature of the water is consistently?increased until the frog slowly boils to death. Due to the slow change in temperature, the frog remains comfortable without ever realizing the need to escape from the danger.
The same thing can happen to the different areas of your life if you have neglected aspects that have led to a breakdown. Whether it is a health issue, financial?challenges, relationship drama, it is likely due to neglecting that aspect of life and not having healthy goals to balance your life properly. Becoming too comfortable?in the boiling water. That is the risk of goal setting. If you become too focused, and don't give yourself the time to review and improve?all?aspects of your life, there will be break downs. It is so important to take a close look at how you are doing in each area of your life. REALLY take a look and have an honest conversation about where you are doing well, and where you are lacking. Once you have an honest outlook, set goals with your eyes wide open as to where you can improve.
Try it out, set one goal in each area mentioned?above and make it a SMART goal (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, with a timeframe). Review where you are in that area of your life, and make a goal to improve. It will make you better in ALL areas of your life because you cannot be your best in one area while others are struggling.?
Give it a shot and I am certain you will be amazed by the results!
