It’s hard to believe July is almost upon us - this year is definitely moving along quickly! Despite approaching the Winter halfway mark, the property market appears to be picking up steam with almost double the number of properties scheduled for auction over the last few weeks than compared to this same time last year.

The latest data from CoreLogic indicates we had a preliminary auction clearance rate in Sydney of 70.7% over the weekend. This is a strong result for this time of year and compares with a clearance rate of 66% experienced last year with fewer property listings. This would indicate the strength of the current market should continue well into Winter. ?Sellers are feeling more confident about putting their house on the market as they are seeing some great results being achieved. Buyers are however becoming a little more cautious about over paying especially in light of the uncertainty around when interest rates will begin to come down.
