Cleveland Browns - 10 Days of Giving | Day 7
The Cleveland Browns' annual "10 Days of Giving" initiative is heading into its second week with more Browns players getting involved and hosting events focused on giving back. As part of the 7th "Day of Giving," Baker Mayfield and Jadeveon Clowney held shopping events at two different Meijer locations.
Passing Along the Joy
Mayfield and his wife Emily went shopping at Meijer in Lorain and bought gifts for 80 kids from the Boys and Girls Club. After they completed their shopping spree, the Mayfields headed over to the Boys and Girls Club to deliver the presents to the kids. Meijer donated $5,000 and provided food and beverage for a holiday party, which took place after the gifts were dropped off. The Browns provided 80 knit hats for all children in attendance. Mayfield chose to represent the Boys and Girls Club on his custom cleats for the My Cause My Cleats game Sunday against the Ravens.
Jingle-A-Thon
Clowney also hosted an event at Meijer in Seven Hills, where 25 teens from Passages were invited for a shopping event. Passages (@passagesneo) has been helping Cleveland's vulnerable families for nearly two decades with a mission to inspire and empower families to thrive. Each teen in attendance was given a $200 gift card courtesy of Clowney, in addition to knit hats and pennants provided by the Browns. Meijer put the finishing touches on the event by providing gift bags and food. While the teens spent Jingle-A-Thon with Clowney, Passages hosted a holiday party for the fathers.
