???? 1 big thing. Heritage Boosts Safety & Regulatory Compliance with ClearBlade?
For the past few years, we’ve worked with Heritage Systems, Inc. to help them deploy and scale a visionary new water management system for their clients: the CloudHSI Portal.?
Why this Matters: Heritage Systems’ customers treat well water for consumption, and ensuring water safety in real-time is critical. When new regulations required reporting to be sent to the State of California in 15-minute intervals, Heritage needed a new approach to gathering and delivering data. Enter ClearBlade.?
What they are saying: “ClearBlade allowed us to take our PondSentry and data management systems to the next level. We collaborate frequently with attentive and capable staffers and they always rise to the challenge and have allowed us to do more for our clients. We’ve developed a remarkable platform over the last three years and we at Heritage are excited to continue to push innovation with ClearBlade as a long-term partner,” said Heritage Systems General Manager Grant Gieseke.?
Thank you to Grant Gieseke & Michael Pepe for helping us develop this case study. We deeply appreciate your continued partnership and value the opportunity to work with you!

???? 2. GenAI and Narrow AI: Are We Seeing the Real Thing or Just a Valentine’s Day Crush?
On Friday, my latest edition of Eric on the Edge hit the virtual newsstand!?
Why this matters: Given that it was Valentine’s Day and the hype around Generative AI (GenAI) has been inescapable, I had to ask myself: Are we looking at it through rose-colored glasses, or is it delivering real, measurable, and repeatable business value?
What I’m Saying: It’s undeniably cool—and it’s here to stay. But the initial hype has started to settle, even among the biggest companies. Why wait three years for ROI when narrow AI can be deployed and operational in a matter of weeks?

?? 3. ClearBlade in the News: Operating on the Edge
Recently, Networking+ explored challenges and project considerations for enterprises deploying edge computing and edge AI use cases.?
Why this Matters: Edge computing stands to deliver a host of benefits, including security, data use optimization, resiliency, cost optimization, enhanced computing solutions, and privacy. Yet, edge projects can take a major detour off the path to ROI if they aren’t deployed thoughtfully, and tested for validity, scalability, network availability, and necessary redundancy for added resiliency.?
What I’m Saying: “Consider video processing. AI image recognition is powerful, takes a lot of data, is very compute-heavy, and contains sensitive data. Edge computing is an excellent solution here,” says Simone. “Currently, we see Edge implementations in transportation, buildings and campuses, oil and gas, water, and retail. I anticipate significant industry expansion given the flexibility of Edge computing and the power of AI.”
