ClearBlade December 2024 Newsletter
Happy Tuesday. This month’s newsletter is 736 words, a 6-minute read.?
?? On this day in 1977, at the last minute, Elvis Costello and The Attractions were scheduled to appear on Saturday Night Live in place of the Sex Pistols, who could not gain a visa to enter the country. SNL Producer Lorne Michaels asked Costello not to play "Radio, Radio" (because of the song's critique of '70s corporate rock radio). Costello launched into a few seconds of "Less Than Zero," then abruptly broke into a full version of "Radio, Radio." Michaels was not amused and banned Costello from SNL for years, providing today’s intro tune.??
??1 big thing. New Anomaly Detection Component in Intelligent Assets
On December 12, we announced a new Anomaly Detection Component in Intelligent Assets.?
Why this matters: One of the biggest barriers to IoT success is making data easy for end-users to see, understand, and act on when repair or maintenance is required in the field. Now, Intelligent Assets customers can enable AI-generated anomaly detection as straightforward gauges and alerts.
What we’re saying: "We're working rapidly to close the gap between advanced IoT technologies and operators in the field; Components significantly enhance a company's ability to leverage AI based on asset data and I'm excited to see all the creative use cases our customers and partners will develop with this new feature," said ClearBlade Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer Aaron Allsbrook .
??2. Edge AI with SAS & QKS
On November 20, we joined our partner 赛仕软件 for a QKS Expert Edge interview all about Edge AI that included Eric Simone ??????? , Aaron Allsbrook , Josh Becker , Steve Enck , Narayan Gokhale and vyshak k .
Why this matters: Operators or otherwise non-technical roles within a business want to monitor equipment in the field and leverage data to make sense of it. Yet, they are tired of waiting for their company or an external company to build the solution from scratch. Meanwhile, companies have been reticent to move data beyond their firewalls. ClearBlade/SAS partnership make it easier to solve both issues with Edge AI.?
What I’m saying: “We’ve been in the IoT and Edge space for well over a decade; In the last decade it has been a failure due to custom build. It’s expensive and time-consuming with a high failure rate. It’s a slog. We’re focused on making that simpler. ClearBlade accesses data anywhere and SAS can implement rigorous analytics instream to drive value. It’s a win-win.
?? 3. We Dish: TOO Saucy Dame + Cool Dude with Bonnie D. + Eric S. – LIVE!
On November 20, I had the pleasure of joining Bonnie D. Graham for an exhilarating interview.?
领英推荐
Why this matters: It’s always fun to take a lighthearted break from the grind! When Bonnie asked if I would be interested in an hour of conversation I jumped at the chance to talk about life and my background.?
What I’m saying: “I could create a whole world on a computer - programming became my passion and that’s what started my career. I was lucky to attend Libertyville High School. By the way, Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine and Adam Jones from Tool also attended Libertyville.”?From my childhood to my career in tech - this interview was a blast!
?? 4. On-Demand: From Data Overload to Insightful Action with Cambridge Tech
On November 21, ClearBlade Co-founder and CTO Aaron Allsbrook joined Padmanava Debnath , Associate Vice President, of Cambridge Technology (CT) for a live webinar which is now available on demand.?
Why this matters: Frequent equipment downtime and operational inefficiencies can cost enterprises millions annually. Tackling these issues is increasingly complex in today’s intricate and interconnected IoT ecosystems, and traditional methods often fall short.?
Enter AI-Powered Digital Twins. These advanced technologies enable real-time simulations, predictive maintenance, and process optimization, empowering businesses to reduce inefficiencies, improve asset utilization by up to 30%, and achieve a 20% increase in ROI.?
?? 5. What Does 2025 have in store for IoT & Edge?
Next month, Aaron and I will be taking another peek into the crystal ball for our annual predictions and prognostications! ?
Why this Matters: This has been another unpredictable year in IoT! From sunset fake-outs to the Edge AI explosion, it can be tough to know what will happen next in the IoT market.?
What I’m Saying: Join us as we look back at our 2024 predictions and prognostications to see if we hit the mark and let’s ring in the new year with a fresh batch!
