Clearance Scam

I think its wonderful, when a company is able to sponsor a candidate for a their initial clearance. However, in recent conversations with candidates, its been brought to my attention that there are company's who are sponsoring candidates for their initial clearance are requesting they sign a document stating that if you do not take the position after your clearance is adjudicated and granted that you will be required to compensate that company for their costs and effort they put forth for you to get the clearance. I am not a fan of googling, but if you google "Who pays for security clearances" you will see it is not individual companies. Be careful!
