Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can't Lose

Today it was announced that the Stay at Home order in Wisconsin will be extended until May 26th. That in itself is an event. How we elect to react to it will determine our outcome going forward.

I saw this image from Gapingvoid earlier in the week and it struck me as quote/image that I really needed to internalize and reflect on.

My son is a senior in high school and will be missing out on Prom, various Senior Awards banquets, his last choir concert, and graduation as we usually know it. My daughter will be a senior in college in the fall, and there could be a reality that they start the school year the same way this year ended - online. My wife works at a school and has been a voice of reason in helping parents fill in the blanks with answers. All three have been positive throughout this experience. Their new eyes are definitely seeing the correct things.

As for me, my work is deemed essential and has been assisting customers in ensuring their businesses are working properly and without hindrance from and IT perspective. This is something that our company is doing very well. The team has been outstanding at making this a priority.

Tobin Solutions has taught me to make sure you understand how your reaction to events determines your outcome. This is key. And is also a reason why Tobin Solutions was voted as one of the Best Places to Work in Milwaukee.

My outlet during all this after family fun has been doing the WISCA webcast. I wrote recently about the Power of the Ask when we got to interview Rowdy Gaines. This week we interviewed Garrett Weber-Gale (another gold medal swimmer) and now we have more interviews planned for the future. ((See below))

This all really started because I made a choice to see the World with New Eyes. Now the trick will be to carry this out until May and even after that.
