Happy New Year! ?? Each year in the mortgage industry brings new challenges and innovations, and we can’t wait to see what 2024 has to offer.
We anticipate that some of the major trends we saw in 2023 will continue into this new year. In a recent interview, Clear Capital’s EVP of Strategy and Growth, Kenon Chen, noted that policy changes from 2023 will take shape in 2024. These policy changes include the GSE inspection-based appraisal waiver programs — ACE+ PDR and Value Acceptance + Property Data — which will help reduce appraisal costs and turn times. We also saw new guidance on automated valuation model (AVM) use and testing in 2023, as well as the rising use of artificial intelligence.
As we look to 2024, we’ll keep our eyes on how these changes and others affect our industry. But first, read on to brush up on our most popular blog posts, ebooks, and more from 2023 — featuring content topics that will retain relevance this year.
Let’s have a great 2024!
