Today, Dynelectro was invited to join the #coalition for Cleantech for Nordics. Cleantech for Nordics is part of Cleantech for Europe, supported by?Breakthrough Energy?and powered by?Cleantech Scandinavia.

According to a recent study, Nordic cleantech growth companies will need EUR 15 billion in venture capital funding over the next five years to maintain previous growth rates. This study is the first of its kind.

We heard from Eva Lid Andersen with the highlights from 2024 along with the outlook for next year.

Highlights include:

  • Sweden: not on track to meet national/EU targets; pro nuclear power; Northvolt debate
  • Norway: not on track to meet targets; mining and CCS agreements
  • Denmark: on track (with agriculture tax); green hydrogen/PTX
  • Finland: not on track; nuclear
  • Iceland: on track (with flexible emission allocation); new government; geothermal
  • EU: new parliament and commission; Draghi report

Outlook:

  • Sweden: many policy inquires regarding phasing out FF
  • Norway: green industrial policy; parliamentary elections
  • Denmark: presidency of the EU council; agricultural tax
  • Finland: biodiversity; circular economy
  • Iceland: new government
  • EU: Clean Industrial Deal

Green Finance Institute Denmark (founded 2019) shared how their philanthropic #project supported activities support their vision toward a "green future made possible by finance" by closing the execution gap.

Nordic Cleantech Fund will focus on the growth phases of Nordic-based cleantech companies.
