What am I doing sitting by myself on this park bench? Well, I’m supposed to be looking for my girlfriend’s dog right now. But what I’m actually doing is getting some fresh air, and enjoying the sunshine for a change. *Sniff*Sniff* You smell that? That’s the sound that I make when I’m allergy free. No more pet fur making me sneeze and sniffle.
That crazy dog ran away - again. It does it every other day or so. To be honest, I’m glad. I get a chance to breathe freely and clearly. Babe told me she’s not prepping dinner until her dear, sweet Patches - her precious Chihuahua - comes back home. To a normal man, that would have sounded like a threat. How can you threaten a mans dinner for a dog?! Where did she get that type of relationship advice from?!
A normal man would have stood his ground, and say “I’m the man of this house”. But for the sake of my sinuses, my respiratory health, and for the recent episode of “Designated Survivor” that I just downloaded on Netflix - I’m taking the high road like Michelle Obama says. So here I am, on this park bench - taking the high road.
Patches usually comes back before dinner. That dog’s a smart one. It goes and comes when it pleases. She’s wrapped around his little paws. I honestly think he’s onto my whole strategy. Getting to breathe some fresh, pet free air before dinner makes me less cranky. Honestly, it’s a relief.
Maybe it’ll be easier to tell her that, together, we need to keep the apartment cleaner. In that way, me and Patches can co-exist in this relationship. I’ll do that someday. In the mean time, I’ll leave the hole in the fence open so Patches can go exploring, while I enjoy my afternoon “Netflix & Breathe”

7 年I can relate to that, couple weeks I went to my husband's cousin house and we hang out under the house as it is built tall with very high pillars. The next day my sinuses did not let me forget and for the week my face pained and had to get meds to help... Allergies sucks
