Join veteran mediators and trained collaborative lawyers, Colleen Byers and Chris Osborn, for a lively discussion that draws upon the speakers’ extensive training and experiences as they provide an overview of how the human nervous system handles both ordinary stress and the extraordinary stress of the legal process. They further explore how trauma affects the brain and nervous system, examine how trauma-based responses show up in mediation, and discuss the benefits of being trauma-informed as a professional and participant in any lawsuit or dispute.
