Early start this morning to photograph this beautiful 1939 Ford V8 deluxe Hot Rod, it is a retro mod so runs with modern gearings and brakes.
This Ford Deluxe is finished inn Cordoba Tan paintwork and inside finished with brown leather and wooden dash, the finish is stunning and it has a real vintage feel about it but with modern underpinnings. It is running a 359 cubic inch Chevrolet engine fuelled by a Carter 600cfm carburettor with Brodix aluminium cylinder heads, roller rockers and a hydraulic performance camshaft. The distributor is an electronic Igniter ignition and cooling is handled by a Walker radiator with the power conservatively estimated at between 350 and 400bhp!
Always loved these early Ford's, probably from my love of ZZ Top and there Ford's appearing in there videos in the mid to late eighties! Forgetting we are in mid February as the weather is like a Spring early morning, the sunlight and Profoto lights mixing well to add light to the wheels and chrome work. These photos were for a private client and will be a nice memento of this classic Ford.
