The Australian Law Reform Commission’s report on class actions and their funding - Integrity, Fairness and Efficiency—An Inquiry into Class Action Proceedings and Third-Party Litigation Funders – was tabled in parliament on 24 January 2019: ALRC 134, December 2018.

The government's next steps are awaited.
