Since mankind has competed on markets, engaged in to clashes between organizations and fallen into wars, there has been increasing recognition of information domain as critical field of interest. The information warfare (in business terms marketing and sales) refers to wide collection soft and hard techniques to conduct operation on motivations, intentions, and actions. The aim to influence emerging systems that are multidimensional, unlinked but often analogical problems, and on changes that caused by layered causalities.
The systematic approach provides means to compete, penetrate, disintegrate, and exploit adversaries before opponent, competitor or enemy makes decisions and engages in actions. This can be achieved by get inside a policy planning process, decision cycle, by influencing perceived reality with narratives, and impose our will on key decision makers. At national level this could mean operations targeted on whole nations human capital by exceling in deciphering fact from fake, truth from beliefs, and science from guessing.
This type operations can be enormously successful since human minds are limited and bounded to think rationally with out questioning. Our culture, values, emotions, education, beliefs systems, behavior models and experience filter majority of the information available to us. This self-enforcing “filtering” reinforces and create perceptions of the fit and affirm our exiting values and belief of the reality. This limitation or straits in cognitive capability often leads failures in understand the medium and long-term implications of public education system as operations cripples the human capital systematically.
How cognitive superiority in human capital gained and fought back only by wide education, organizational learning, and adaptation with tiered multidimensional approach by investing to comprehensive societal and organizational learning journey. The learning process can only be successful when participants value equally trust, force of will, initiative, judgment, argumentation, debate, and creativity. Healthy learning journey emphasize and reinforces professionalism, core discipline, drafting of common values and ethos, and competitiveness of outcomes. Cognitive superiority helps organizations or even nations to prepare and succeed in clashes in more and more competitive, complex, and uncertain hybrid intangible environments.
