Happy New Year!? How’s January going for you? Are you starting with a clean slate or building momentum? Either way, let’s celebrate our progress on developing a goal-setting mindset.?
I don’t know about you, but I found this mindset shift helpful. Especially since achieving my goal by December of 2022 turned out to be easier than I expected!?
On the flip side here’s the dirty little secret--this was the first time in more years than I can count, that I set a goal, wrote it down and then had the guts to share it with you. To tell you the truth, I was laser focused on the goals I set for the end of last year, and YES I achieved them!
Not like I thought what goal-setting was before (see my article here. A dream with no actionable steps.?
Truthfully, my 2022 goal was a pretty small goal. I figured, taking baby steps beats no steps. For those of you who set a small goal and made it, give yourself a pat on the back!
As Kim Kleeman says, “When you’re new to setting goals, it’s important to make them realistic and achievable.”?
Check and check!
Here we are, half way through January 2023, and it’s not too late to set new goals.?
CAUTION! Don’t tell me you’re too busy. I’m busy too!?
Oops! While achieving my goal felt like “a win” there was a slight down side. The goal wasn’t big enough. With that in mind I went back to the Clarity in Goal Setting Course to see what I could accomplish next.?
Good news! This time, goal setting doesn’t feel as hard. Honestly, I’ve been looking forward to it. I’d love for you to join me and take the next step in goal-setting. Are you in? Let me know in the comments below.

When I went through the course again, I noticed how much more detail I needed to include when setting bigger goals—like timelines, tasks, interim accomplishments—it’s a lot!
In the course, it mentions it helps to visualize your goals.? I bought the Passion Planner to guide me through this process. This is pushing me outside my comfort zone for sure! That’s why I have a support network to check in on this. Thanks to Tami Palmer , Anna Cillan , Joy Poli and Andrea Herran for going on this journey with me.
Now I have monthly goals that lead to the annual goal, the goals connect to my purpose--empowering speakers, authors and consultants to create new streams of revenue.
Weekly check-ins scheduled to keep me on track. My next step is to add all the tasks, timelines, and interim accomplishments (this is a work in progress).?
I’m so relieved I can go back to my Clarity in Goal Setting?course as support! Register now to join me on the journey. You can register for the course here?
