The ClariTEA Podcast Has Launched!
Tristan Layfield
LinkedIn Top Voice 2020 → Career Coach & Resume Writer → Leveraging Value to Transition Careers → Career Strategy Speaker & Workshop Facilitator
In case you weren't aware, we dropped a new podcast, The ClariTEA Podcast, in partnership with Living Corporate. Each week I'll be dropping a 20 - 30 minute episode where you'll not only gain insight to help you transition your career, but we'll have raw, unfiltered conversations about equity and access, or lack thereof, in Corporate America.
Most weeks, we'll be joined by a special guest cohost, mainly career coaches, resume writers, HR Professionals, and hiring managers. But some weeks, you're going to get just me discussing the latest career news, trends, tips, and things that, quite frankly, piss me off about Corporate America.
In the first episode, I give you a thorough introduction to me and what to expect from the show each week. I also touch on a bit of recent popular career news, digital productivity monitoring and software. The conversation was inspired by an article in the New York Times, "The Rise of the Worker Productivity Score." I take a quick look at sentiments from employers, employees, and these systems' creators before I read them for all for filth about the problems with the systems and the impact on employee morale and trust. Check it out on Apple Podcast or Spotify above!
On my second episode, I had the pleasure of having L. Michelle Smith, M.S., ACC of no silos communications llc on the pod! She and I have known each other for years. I was a guest on her podcast, The Culture Soup Podcast, and she even wrote an article featuring some of my career tips for Black Enterprise.
In this episode, she and I discuss the article "Enough, Bosses Say: This Fall, It Really Is Time to Get Back to the Office" in the Wall Street Journal. We go into our opinions on why executive leaders are really pushing for people to go back into the office and if it's the right decision for their bottom line. If you listen, you'll be able to tell that I'm tired of the BS leaders spew about culture and connection as the reason they want people back in the office. Companies are simply trying to make good on their failed real estate investments that will impact their bottom line if not used. I digress; check out the episode on Apple Podcast or Spotify above!
Next episode sneak peek:
On the next episode, I have my best friend, educational consultant, and overall badass Clyde Barnett III, Ph.D., on the show! We will get into the mess of higher education; you don't want to miss this one. Make sure to follow and subscribe to the podcast to get notified about new episodes!
