The C.L.A.P. Method: The Ultimate Success Strategy

The C.L.A.P. Method: The Ultimate Success Strategy

Over the years I created a simple and easy to understand process, to help people achieve success. This process is what I call The C.L.A.P. Method.

C.L.A.P. is more than just an acronym, it is actually a powerful strategy for success. If you are working to achieve your goals and dreams in any industry, then you are consciously or unconsciously implementing some part of the C.L.A.P. Method already.

This is just a quick overview of the system so you can start to consciously apply it to your life so you too can enjoy greater levels of success. If you’d like to learn more and go deeper into the C.L.A.P. system, you can go to ww.thesuccessaccelerator.org and learn about The Success Accelerator? where I provide an in-depth look into how this system works and how to leverage it to create extraordinary results.

My hope is that this short quotes journaling book not only teaches you the C.L.A.P. Method so that you can create a life full of passion and purpose but that it also empowers you to create the winning mindset with the philosophies that helped shaped my life. I hope you will love them as much as I do. Let's dive in!

Clarity

The "C" stands for Clarity, with clarity you get power. Now, power is important but not for the reasons that you might be thinking. Real power is the ability to take action, and you need to be able to take effective action to create your best life and ultimately achieve your dreams.

But before you can take action, you need to have clarity. The starting point of all achievement is having clarity. By definition, we can’t achieve something if we don’t first know what we want to achieve.

There are three powerful questions you want to ask yourself from time to time to get clarity. I say often because obtaining clarity is not something you just do once – it is a process that you want to visit and revisit often.

1. Who am I?

This is a loaded question but a very powerful one. Who you are could be answered in so many ways but the areas that make the biggest impact is to think of and reflect on your identity, values, and beliefs. In The Success Accelerator?, I take students through powerful core values, identity and beliefs exercise to help them create a powerful foundation that they can build a successful life on. Take some time to answer this question and really think about your deeply rooted subconscious beliefs, identity and core values – when you shift those, your life changes.

2. What do I want?

Now, this is much easier for most to answer because it lives in the outside world. When most people answer this question, they immediately think of wanting more time, money, and health or wanting certain things or experiences but in order to achieve those results, we have to go deeper. Think about what you truly want in detail – envision your life vividly 10-years from now, then bring it to reality and lay out your 1-year vision that is in alignment with your 10-year vision. Then, develop a 90-day plan that will get you at least a quarter of the way to your 1-year vision. After you do that, focus on your 30-day targets and ultimately your daily and weekly tactics. Success is found in the process so enjoy the journey!

3. Why do I want it?

In many ways, these questions are the most powerful of all because knowing the deeply rooted “why” is where you will find your biggest source of motivation and drive.

What is the reason you want to achieve that goal, and get those things? After you come up with the answer, ask yourself why again. Then, ask yourself why again, and again. Go deep and ask yourself why 5-7 times until you get to the real core answer. It’s in that core WHY that you’ll uncover the foundation to your mission in life. Keeping this reason top-of-mind will serve you well to maintain a high level of motivation throughout the journey.

Learning

Now the "L" in C.L.A.P. stands for Learning and without this very important step, we wouldn’t be able to get anywhere. We have to learn from our past actions to evolve but we also have to learn certain knowledge, skillsets and have a certain mindset in order to maximize our chances to achieve the results we are after.

I wholeheartedly believe that the best way to positively change your life, and always be creating a better life, instead of plateauing is by being a constant learner.

Also, once you know what you want to achieve, you have to ask yourself what knowledge you need to acquire in order to be able to attain what you are after. If you are an entrepreneur, you might need to understand some things about branding, or marketing, or sales in order to be able to grow your business, right?

But sometimes, knowledge isn’t enough. You also want to identify if there are any skill sets that you need to have in order to be able to achieve the results you are after. For example, going back to the entrepreneur – having knowledge about how business works is very different from having the skill sets of selling and marketing. Once you learn what those things are and how they work you will have to put that knowledge into practice in order to be able to develop those skill sets.

Ultimately, you will also want to understand what shifts in mindset would better equip you to achieve what you are after. Maybe you are an entrepreneur that worries too much, or has self-doubt or let’s fear stop them from time to time – if that is you, you want to identify that early on and work on yourself so that it doesn’t hold you back from ultimately achieving your goals.

Action

Then, the "A" in C.L.A.P. stands for Action. To achieve big dreams, you will have to take massive action but there are three very important qualities in the action you take that you want to make sure you are aware of.

The first is that you want to make sure the action you take is Passionately Aligned. The only way to make sure that your action is passionately aligned is if you have clarity on who you are, what you want and why you want it. If you align what you do with those three questions, then you will be able to pull from a much deeper well of motivation.

Then, you want to make sure that your action is Practically Strategic. This is where learning comes into play, if you are an entrepreneur and you developed the habit of learning then you will learn the best strategy to market your business, how to identify your brand and so on which will make the action you take practical and effective. So, learning is key in any area of life so that the action you take is ultimately smart.

Finally, you want to make sure that you are Consistently Gritty; you are not going to get it right every time right out of the gate. It is important that you keep going, you stay persistent and remember your big why. There are many ways to get to your ultimate goal so stay flexible on your approach. How you get there might surprise you. This process of achieving becomes easier when your WHY is big enough but it also requires you to possess grit – the ability to bounce back and keep going despite setbacks.

Pivot

The "P" in C.L.A.P. stands for Pivot. After you uncover the clarity, learn what you need to and start taking massive action, you will have to pivot often and that is because things won’t always work out perfectly. You will, without a doubt, encounter delays, setbacks, disappointments, and failures. That’s right, the bigger the goal – the more of those you will experience.

The key though is pivoting when things don’t go as planned. When that happens, here are three questions that you can ask yourself to move through the pivot phase.

1. What happened?

The first step is to be clear about what happened. This is not the time to make up stories, assumptions or draw conclusions – this is the time to gather the facts. What actually happened? Write it down if you have to.

2. What can I learn from it?

After you’ve gathered all of the facts you will want to extract the lessons. Sometimes, the lessons are obvious but sometimes you will have to take 100% responsibility for what happened and look within. Remember that the challenges in our lives can be gifts. In order to become our best selves, and ultimately achieve our goals, we have to go through our own share of adversity to learn some lessons and grow stronger. Sometimes, these things become our biggest stepping stones toward success.

3. What will I do now?

Your past experiences are now a part of you, but they do not have to dictate whom you become. Eventually, you just want to accept what happened and redefine how you tell yourself that story to empower you to move forward. What will you do next? What is the next best step? At this point you have to decide if you need to go back to obtain more clarity, you have to learn something new or if you just have to get back into massive action mode. Your focus has to be on moving forward despite what happened.

Ultimately, the C.L.A.P. method is a simple process that you want to revisit often. Inside The Success Accelerator?, you’ll find a series of worksheets that guide you through the C.L.A.P. Method. Interesting article with some great ideas. One small problem however, when going to thesuccessaccelerator.org website, you're net with a 'ClickFunnels' banner that prevents you going any further, so I couldn't review any further information on the subject. ??
