Claims in the age of generative AI - my takeaways

I recently watched a fascinating webinar and couldn't wait to share it with you!

Insurance Innovators hosted the talk with a panel from Generali, AXA, and ServiceNow discussing "Claims in the Age of Generative AI". They brought up some really interesting thoughts.

Here are my key takeaways:

Mastering the micro-moments: Implementing generative AI isn't about one giant leap — it's about many small steps. Focus on finding and fixing one problem at a time. Even those can have huge impacts.

Augmenting claims handlers: Claims handlers are the backbone of claims operations, bringing essential skills like domain knowledge and empathy to the table. Imagine strengthening their capabilities with AI-powered tools such as data analytics, document summarization, and translation. The result? An enhanced service experience for the customers.

Setting realistic AI expectations: Let's be honest; perfection is a tall order, even for AI. Just as we give room for human error and set processes to mitigate mistakes, let's adopt a similar mindset for AI implementations. It's about maximizing potential while being mindful of the learning curve.

It's great to see that they share so many of our ideas. I believe you'll find it valuable too. Watch it here!
