Claiming Wisdom, Becoming Fools

Have you ever wondered how humanity ended up in this troubling state? How did we reach a point where we turned our backs on God??
Paul sheds light on this matter in Romans 1:21–22, stating that the root cause of this unrestrained sin is the absence of fear for God. It all boils down to our failure to acknowledge and glorify God as the rightful authority over us, just as Adam and Eve did.?
Since then, this has been the recurring theme in the lives of every individual. But how did we come to this appalling condition? How did we arrive at a place where we rejected God?
In those verses, we read, “For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their reasonings, and their senseless hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools.”?
These words reveal a profound truth: when we expel God from our minds, ungodliness takes over. Our thoughts, once tainted by sin, become distorted and perverted.
We often pride ourselves on our wisdom, believing that we can thrive and exist without God. From the periods of enlightenment to romanticism, and now in the era of post-modernism, is there any doubt about the accuracy of this Scripture? We consider ourselves so clever today that we have replaced God, thinking ourselves wise and significant. However, in reality, we have become fools.
The undeniable truth is that we are losing touch with the Ultimate Truth. God is the very essence of creation, knowledge, and wisdom. He offers us a path to salvation, and He calls us to have a child-like faith. Will you humble yourself and submit to Him?
