Civil Society Week, EESC/CoR, Brussels, 4-7nth March 2024 - Rise Up For Democracy!

Democracy Under Control

My field of interest is Interfaces. Since Interfaces are not part of mainstream education - but part of the IMNRC Curriculum - I generally introduce myself as a neuroscientist (an interface...), interested in politics and in connecting the dots together something that our civilisation has had considerable difficulty achieving despite highly advanced technology. If mindsets do not connect, technology won’t help much. I am also a systemic whistleblower who is running for the EU Elections which may explain why I was not even invited as a speaker/panellist. EU System control...?

I felt uncomfortable during the entire event... because I had the feeling that everything was being smoothly controlled from behind the scenes by the EU System. I openly wondered what was going to be the concrete global impact of the Civil Society Week on tomorrow beyond intellectual entertainment. My concluding remarks were that there was an elephant in the room. The basic idea behind the Civil Society Week was reaching out to others, connecting people from different cultures, religions, educational and political backgrounds. Yet not one mention was made about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict during the entire week! This was shocking. The Civil Society Week, the EESC, the CoR are EU System controlled: not the best way to recover the citizens’ lost trust... This was just my impression already based on years of hands on experience with the EU System. A key panellist during the closing session I met in the lift after the meeting said that he preferred not to mention anything about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict because he would have had problems... Gaza and the West Bank were taboo. If you wanted to keep your job: “Shut up!” Democracy à la von der Leyen/EU System...??

Unless the next EC President can be elected directly by the citizens, I have already suggested to MEPs either of two bold moves. Submit a motion at the EP for von der Leyen’s destitution/resignation. If a threshold percentage of the MEPs vote in favour, she could be thrown out before the June elections. We could also think up of a kind of Democratic Coup d’Etat that would overthrow von der Leyen’s despotic governance of the EU that is slowly but surely locking in the EU Social System.

Yes there is a need for a cross-cutting interdisciplinary approach, something that mainstream education has not prepared us for. The challenges we are faced with stem not just from the increasing world fragmentation but from our inability to constructively articulate the fragments together. Our civilisation has yet to understand let alone manage the holistic complexity of our existence...

The IMNRC’s Flagship Project is the New Capacity Building Programme (200 nations) that strives to build our civilisation’s capacity to understand the increasing complexities of an ever changing world. ?

We could explore synergies and collaboration perspectives.
