UAE Holidays: Upcoming 3-day weekend announced in 2023
The UAE is eagerly looking forward to the upcoming public holiday, and fortunately, residents won’t have to wait long for the next holiday to arrive.
Prophet Muhammad’s birthday (PBUH) is anticipated to occur later this month, specifically on September 27th.
According to the official holiday calendar released by the UAE government, the holiday to commemorate Prophet Muhammad’s birthday (PBUH) has been scheduled for September 29th. This results in a three-day weekend for the public and private sector.

Hatta Sustainable Waterfalls: Major $13mn project to boost tourism in the city
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, the MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), recently conducted an inspection of the ongoing construction at the Hatta Sustainable Waterfalls project, a venture valued at 46 million UAE dirhams ($13 million).
The project forms part of DEWA’s social responsibility agenda, with the aim of turning Hatta into a unique tourist attraction, as stated in a press release by the DFM-listed utility.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer emphasised that the Hatta Sustainable Waterfalls project has a transformative role to play in?Hatta’s development. It aspires to elevate Hatta into a thriving tourism and investment hub while preserving its rich heritage and natural allure.

Danube launches its 25th project ‘Oceanz’ in Dubai Maritime City
Riding high on strong investor demand, Danube Properties, the fastest-growing private real estate developer in the UAE, has launched Oceanz. Oceanz with a development value exceeding $681.2 million –once built at the Dubai Maritime City, will offer unlimited views of the magnificent Arabian Gulf and a new leisure and cruise tourism hub next to the historic Shindagha heritage village.
When completed in the first quarter of 2027, Oceanz will rise 51 floors above the ground including a six-level podium filled with car parking and community facilities with 44 floors of residential properties, and deliver 1,250 residential units including studio apartments, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom apartments and a few retail stores.
