City Manager RTRs & Job Board Newsletter (3/10/2024)

Wanna be a trailblazer?

Three communities will soon be looking for their first ever manager.

After more than a year of discussion – and just days before the May primary candidate filing deadline – the Crook County Court voted 2-1 Friday to change the county’s form of government from two commissioners and a judge who is the board chair to three equal commissioners and a county manager they'll appoint.

Being "the first" ever manager for a community can be very challenging and incredibly rewarding.

In Episode 28 of the City Manager Unfiltered Podcast , I interviewed Amanda M. . She shared her experience about being the first manager for Watertown, South Dakota.

You can listen to that episode here.

This week, three more local government agencies doing in-house recruitments have included their listings in the newsletter because they can spot a deal from a mile away.

It only costs $100 to inclue your vacancies in the fastest growing local government newsletter on LinkedIn.

With Robyn Stewart's well-deserved promotion at Worthington, there are now four female city managers in adjacent suburban Columbus communities including Westerville, Worthington, Dublin, and Hilliard, all in the past four years. This is great to see in our region.

Executive career placement, Anne Awad-Fromhertz I only do per placements over 200 K because they don’t job hop. I have my references some retired but they know the business if you want to chat send me an email to Annette..[email protected] Best reference, George Hale he may be retired by now, but he knows I know my business attend, not working meetings. That’s how I find my people. The ones that are not looking to move but they don’t realize there’s a better opportunity.
