Citizen Developer Driver's License, ChatGPT & CIO Summit recap

Citizen Developer Driver's License, ChatGPT & CIO Summit recap

We need a #DriversLicense program for #CitizenDevelopment, internal #ChatGPT, and continued effective communication as these topics have come front-and-center in #CIO circles.

#CitizenDevelopers (1) enable the business to move quicker, (2) share ownership, and (3) appreciate our technology. The 'driver's license' concept is meant to explain how we govern and grant access for non-IT developers to build reports, work with secondary applications, and unleash our data for business.

#ChatGPT needs to be an area of evaluation in our companies as we advance knowledge sharing and how we solve problems as a company (aka #GenerativeAI). Like the #iPhone, #Internet, and #SpellCheck, this is another consumer-driven technology that will not go away. We need to embrace it, harness it as a tool for our people. Its amazing how it can advance communication and knowledge sharing. It's nothing to be scared about. We need a perspective as #techies and we need to learn quickly.

#Listening and effective communication was the key theme through my interactions these past few days. We can become better leaders when we slow down and use #ActiveListening. Seeing Ben Davis and Nash Fung share and demonstrate how to listen well is a great reminder - and it doesn't hurt to step outside and walk around the block to get #mindful before a contentious meeting. Nash explained the HUMAN acronym of Human first, Undivided attention, Mirror, Authentic, and Non-judgmental.

Many other #takeaways including:
