CitiPower, one of Victoria’s largest electricity suppliers, service over a million residential households and commercial customers across the state. Whilst owning assets such as poles and wires, CitiPower are also responsible for the quality and reliability of power supply to customers.

Project Design Brief

A large electrical enclosure was to be installed on the corner of Collins and Navigation Street to improve high voltage supply to the area. ACO worked with the authority to provide a multipart access cover system comprising safe lifting covers to facilitate ongoing maintenance for CitiPower’s field crews.

• 20-part?Rhinocast??Infill access cover system
• ACO’s Technical Services provided the structural designer with a detailed rebate drawing for the 20-part multi-part access cover to be incorporated into the road pavement

Benefits

• The Class D (AS 3996) covers are rated to withstand vehicular traffic
• All individual covers were securely bolted to their adjoining frame for vehicular safety
