Cities will lead, nations will follow
A friend from Brussels sent me an article that will be published soon on UrbanizeHub Romania. In which he writes:
... we have reached a historical point where a positive change in the future can only be produced by a start-up, because the states and corporations are too slow to react (in the face of climate change, poverty, aging). , pollution, agglomeration) and have completely withdrawn from global problems.
I would add that cities will have greater power of action, than governments or states, to act directly against this problems. The current social and economic challenges call for quick and direct solutions. Only through newly defined levels of power for cities and citizens can we find these solutions. Urban networks made up of local authorities, companies, research institutions or universities will collaborate in the future to improve cities and citizens quality of life .
Because Cities will lead, nations will follow
