Cities Climate Action Newsletter - February 2025

At SmartCitiesWorld , we recognise that climate action is a collaborative effort, and that nobody can achieve their climate goals alone – it’s why collaboration is a key value in our Cities Climate Action Campaign.

For this reason, we’re delighted to be able to announce that we will be working in partnership with London Climate Action Week (LCAW) this year to accelerate urban climate action and drive global collaboration – with our Cities Climate Action Summit (24-25 June) a flagship cities-focused event during LCAW.

This year, LCAW are building whole-of-society engagement on climate action, raising public visibility and debate around London’s 2030 Net Zero goal, as well as expanding the global network of climate action weeks to mobilise more cities worldwide. SmartCitiesWorld will be a key supporter of LCAW’s ambition to expand climate action weeks to more cities globally, leveraging our reach to directly engage cities in our global network of members and partners to encourage them to kickstart their own local climate action weeks.

Our partnership aligns SmartCitiesWorld’s extensive network and knowledge with LCAW’s global ambitions, amplifying the role of cities in climate action, helping to shape policies, scale solutions, and mobilise more regions to drive meaningful change. Find out more about our collaboration here, or if you’d like to find out how your city could host its own climate action week, get in touch.

As always, if there’s something you’d like to tell us about in your own climate action work, please?drop us a line!
