Cities call for sustainable urban transport network across Europe
With the 2024 European elections now just over two months away, Eurocities and our members are working at full pace to ensure the voice of cities is heard at EU-level.
At our Transport Forum in Utrecht, we published 'A better mobility starts in cities,' a series of recommendations from city leaders to the EU to build a future where zero-emission transport is the most normal way of travelling within and between cities.
In this month's newsletter, you can learn more about our recommendations, along with the discussions we held with EU partners on cohesion policy, and cities' role in achieving the European Green Deal and tackling the digital divide.
In other updates, we reveal the nine finalists taking part in the Eurocities Awards 2024, and we celebrate Budapest's success in the European Mobility Awards.
We also have an update on the plans for Eurocities annual conference, taking place in Cluj-Napoca at the end of May. And to mark the recent International Women's Day, we focus on cities' work to protect and promote women's rights.
You can read about all of our actions in March below.
