The CISL Newsletter
Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL)
CISL, part of the University of Cambridge, develops leadership and solutions for a sustainable economy.
In March we looked at the leadership needed to meet the unprecedented ecological, societal and geopolitical challenges we collectively face in the decades to come. Read about the Global Leadership in the Age of Turbulence Summit hosted by CISL last month, where we brought together influential thinkers, experts and leaders to discuss those challenges; and hear from our CEO, Lindsay Hooper, as she considers why good leadership is needed now more than ever.
We highlight the strong message from 100 business leaders to the EU to cut greenhouse gas emissions of at least 90 per cent by 2040, convened by Corporate Leaders Group Europe. We also celebrate one of our own trailblazing leaders , Dr Nina Seega, Director of Sustainable Finance; and, finally, in this month’s blogs, CISL Senior Associate and one of the facilitators for the Sustainability Practitioners Programme, KHANYI MLAMBO , discusses?the need for a comprehensive leadership approach to sustainability challenges in South Africa and beyond. ?
In our next newsletter we'll tackle People in sustainability, with a closer look at the impact that the current poly-crises has on communities. Sign up here to receive an email with CISL's monthly newsletter .
