Cisco Webex call on a Teams Rooms
Cisco Webex meeting directly from your native Microsoft Teams Rooms
Since Teams app version 1449/1.0.96.2022072103 to Android, you now have the option of Direct Guest Join to Cisco Webex. Windows based Teams Rooms have had this option for a while. So now both Windows and Android based Teams Rooms solutions can join Zoom & Webex meetings
Even though this have been available for a while, I still get lots of questions about it, so in this article I will document how to do it.
How to make it work?
Go to Teams Admin Center - Click Teams Rooms on Android, mark the system that you want to update. Click Health, under Teams app click See available updates, in the panel on the right hand side, mark Teams app and click Update
Next step is then to update the Console - Click Teams Rooms on Android, Click Touch Consoles, mark the system that you want to update. Click Health, under Teams app click See available updates, in the panel on the right hand side, mark Teams app and click Update
Now you will need to enter the meeting room and on the console itself, you can enable third party meeting - Click More - Settings - Meetings - scroll down to Third party meetings enable Zoom and Webex

To make sure that your meeting room are able to auto accept an external meeting invite, you will need to run below PowerShell scripts
Set-CalendarProcessing -Identity "meet6" -AutomateProcessing AutoAccept -AddOrganizerToSubject $false -DeleteComments $false -DeleteSubject $false -ProcessExternalMeetingMessages $true -RemovePrivateProperty $false
Get-Mailbox "[email protected]" | Set-CalendarProcessing -ProcessExternalMeetingMessages $true
Change meet6 & [email protected] with your room account
Your users will now be able to forward a Zoom or Webex meeting and be able to join the directly from the native Teams Rooms on Android.
Limitations:
There are a few limitations when doing direct guest join. Since it is using a Chromium browser on the WebRTC protocol, it will only be able to have one screen in the call. So if you have a dual screen installation, only one screen will join.
The second limitation there is, it will not be able to use the HDMI ingest to share content. So you will need to use the app to share content.
In Zoom you also have the option to share via: Share a Meeting - Zoom
