Cisco 4100 has Built in SSL Chip!
The #Cisco 2100 has the Cavium Octeon chip, just like the ASA's, and the 4100/9300 #FTD has the all-so-powerful #Cavium Nitrox chip set for SSL decryption (same as Bluecoat /F5 and A10, however, Palo Alto does not, which is why they are no longer relevant in this industry!)
HOWEVER, and there is a big however here...the chip won't be active until the end of 2018...BUT, the chip is in there so you'll only see a 40% hit for SSL deception, which is amazing when you think about it...however, in the meantime, the chip is now used by the Lina core to do IPSec and SSL vpn.
So cool!
And this is ALL in my new book! :)
