Cinestar Prishtina: Largest Megaplex in Southeast Europe

Just like its name, the brand savours being a star, binging the industry's most prestigious cinema to the region. Titled The Largest Multiplex Cinema Chain in the region with 28 operational multiplex sites, a total of 182 digital screens and a total seating capacity of over 27,600, this cinema chain happens to be the most successful theatrical exhibitor in the region of former Yugoslavia. The all-new property in the Balkan region is currently donned with special formats including 4DX, Gold Class, Ultimate by Dolby Atmos, Kids screen, Gaming screen and an eXtreme screen.

CineStar Cinemas opened its largest, state-of-the-art Megaplex in Southeast Europe - in Prishtina, the capital of Kosovo. The long expected ultramodern new multiplex is the group's largest site, and part of the region's biggest shopping mall, the Prishtina Mall. It boasts 15 screens, including ScreenX, 4DX, Gold Class halls and a lot of other content, with a total capacity of around 2000 seats. The latest generation CineStar Megaplex was the first to present to local audiences the Destination Cinema concept, the unrivalled trend in international exhibition industry, but an absolute novelty in Kosovo.

With each new project, CineStar Cinemas are known to be raising the ladder, continuously introducing new formats, latest technologies, and - finally - innovative interior design.

Each hall was endowed with a unique visual identity, and the entire interior of the Megaplex abounds in a different kind of materials, and a variety colours and styles.

The interior design is the work of the same designer team that was behind a number of the groups latest projects, including CINESTAR 4DX MALL OF SPLIT, which received the ICTA Award as 2019's 'Best New Build Cinema' in Europe.

For the first time, CineStar Cinemas are bringing one of the most prestigious cinema formats - Screen X, to the region. ScreenX is a special format which films to be presented on expanded screens covering 3 sides of the cinema, one to the left and one to the right of the main screen, enabling the audience a 270-degree panoramic view, for the most immersive experience. Also available at CineStar Prishtina are a wide range of other special formats including 4DX, Gold Class, Ultimate by Dolby Atmos, Kids screen, Gaming screen and an eXtreme screen.

Furthermore, the cinema property also comes with two birthday party rooms for those special birthday events for patrons and a cinema bar! Having said these, Cinestar stands out as the fully digital cinema in the entire Balkan region.

Needless to say, the Prishtina Megaplex does not only stand out in terms of its size but it is also equipped in line with CineStar's established high technological standard which includes Harkness wall-to-wall screens, Barco 4K RGB laser projectors, RealD Ultimate 3D, JBL speakers, and Crown amplifiers.
