These programmes empower our civil servants by giving them the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their careers, to thrive by achieving their individual bests and to continuously expand their contributions while fulfilling our shared purpose of “making lives better”.? “I congratulate the civil servants who completed the first cohort of the programme and Director Monique Malcolm, Formal Education Facilitator Charla Hobson and the CSC’s dedicated team who continue to make these world-class learning opportunities possible,” he added.
Launched as a pilot in 2023, the Foundational Business Communication programme was designed to address the growing demand for communication skills within the Cayman Islands Civil Service. With a focus on implementing the fundamentals of written and oral communication in real business situations, and with an emphasis on reading, analysing and writing business communications, the course has already equipped many civil servants with the knowledge and practical experience needed to excel in their current roles and to pursue higher education, if desired.
