CIBSE Event on 5th February, London - Museum and Galleries - important Engineering design - The National Portrait Gallery Case Study

This is a CIBSE Home Counties South West "Central London" CPD event that will give Building Services Engineers, and other Built Environment professionals, a remarkable insight into the working environment both gallery and conservation of arguably the nation's most important and historic portaits.

Museum and Galleries require important design considerations which, if are not built and conforming to the correct specific requirements, can lead to detrimental effects from various engineering systems on priceless work art.

Why should you attend?

Because this topic is rarely discussed but is a growing building environment - art collections of significant value or heritage are being displayed in a growing number of corporate institutions or non-traditional venues. Due diligence will be required to protect it.

Listen to the Client - Dr Alexandra Gent , Paintings Conservator for the National Portait Gallery, who will explain her industries environmental requirements and necessity.
