"Ciao Amore Mio..." An Italian Discovery...The Tale of Gabby and Gio

The book has a working title.
So far, the manuscript is shaping into a contemporary fiction with romantic and self-discovery elements. A novella with some intrigue.
I've written 23,450 words in 37 chapters and 125 book pages, and it's an easy read.
Full-fledged novels are 40,000+ words. That's not feasible for the story idea.
Research says to keep the storyline. Don't force the story.
The job now is to edit, edit, and I've been fine-tuning the manuscript over the past few days.
I am also looking for a professional book editor, so if anyone has a good reference, send me a DM.
The main characters are:
Gio Marzo - the wanderlust travel writer and golf hustler
Gabriella 'Gabby' Rosetti - the resilient and beautiful owner of 'La Terre Felice,' an agriturismo in Tuscany.
Franco Reno - Gio's best friend and professional golfer
Antoinette Rosetti - Gabby's mama
Tuscany - the beauty of the Italian countryside
Rome - the city's vibrant nightlife
Valentina - The Ryder Cup seductress
Giulio Mazocca - The Sicilian land baron
Their lives/experiences are mingled with romance, mystery, disappointment, tragedy, celebration, and discovery.
The market for novellas is much more targeted, so I'm doing further research on self-publishing and marketing strategy.
I hope this update further piques your interest.
