Internships have always been a stepping stone for undergraduates to gain real work place experience. With the onset of COVID-19 many plans have been pushed aside and many students whom have initially had overseas internships, were suddenly without any placement opportunities.
The majority of our interns joined us recently with COVID-19 being declared a pandemic and as schools were reaching out to us for placement opportunities. They were unable to go overseas for their internship placement and that gave Cialfo a unique opportunity to support our local education institutions. We’ve been so lucky to have and support a wonderful bunch of interns from both polytechnics and university shaping Cialfo and making an impact during this surreal situation we find ourselves in.
Our amazing interns have been nothing short of inspiring in their energy, their hustle from the moment they started at Cialfo, their on the ball outlook and the work they are doing to further the mission of democratising access to education! We’re so glad to have you guys onboard, working side by side with as during such a surreal time and making an impact on our community.
COVID-19 sucks (for the lack of a better word) but hey! it gave us a unique opportunity to support our local educational partners and be part of our intern’s learning journey!
