CHURCHILL DIES AT 90

Today in history, Sir Winston Churchill died in 1965 at ninety years old.

'...there was a time when he was described as the most hated man in England-but we never had cause to mistrust him; like them or loathe them, his principles did not budge. For this alone he was respected and sometimes very greatly loved.' - Grace Hamblin

Wiston Churchill means the everlasting example of integrity, courage and faith in a real leader in a context of serious crisis like the one destroyed millions of lives and many countries worldwide. Never like then decision-making was so much conditioned by the closests threats to freedom as UK underwent with WWII.

A Brit newspaperman I knew told me he was a young reporter in London then. He said WSC's death cost the proprietors a fortune. You'll recall he was dying for around two weeks. None wanted to take the chance of missing his death, so they kept the papers open every night until the last possible moment -- forcing them to keep the entire staff on overtime.
