The Chube App – signalling a paradigm shift for kids entertainment
This article was originally posted on Chube.
I started Chube around two years ago. Since then, during this incredible journey, the kids video app has grown into something of its own.
With over 3,000 users, Chube has become the go-to place for parents to watch safe videos with their children for free. In a closed environment, with selective partnerships made with content agencies, Chube is all about safety – and showing parents the safest kids content possible.
However, there are still a few problems that Chube is left to solve. We still need better tools for parents to watch videos in a controllable manner, with peace and assurance. The app currently only supports the preschool age, so the parents we had using Chube 2 years ago have all but gone. Safe and stimulating entertainment and educational content for 5+ year olds is scarce in the internet world, where fake Avengers get body swapped for millions of views. It’s a very disturbing industry which the Chube team is looking to make right.

Chris Merron, our CTO, has said, “As a parent, I love the idea of preventing my children from tapping adverts or recommended videos to end up watching anything other than what I have selected.” We built this app to help solve the problem of inappropriate content being shown to kids. The result is stunning:
"Chube" - making waves in the kids entertainment sector.
We look forward to bring parents fantastic new tools in Chube that’ll make 2019 a brilliant and joyful year for the whole family!
