The Syndicate’s enforcers moved with terrifying precision. Their armor gleamed under the pulsing red emergency lights, reflecting the digital chaos surrounding them.
In the center of the Neo-Terra Archives, Rayan Vadra gritted his teeth, hands flying over the holographic console. The Shadow Algorithm was now in his grasp, the system’s core laid bare before him.
For the first time, he had control.
But control meant nothing if he didn’t escape.
And the Syndicate was already here.

"Rayan, talk to me!" Selene Varos’ voice crackled through his comm, urgency sharp as a blade.
"I’ve got the algorithm," he muttered, still typing. Rewriting protocols. Scrambling data. Locking Syndicate access.
"Great. Now get the hell out of there before you get erased."
Not so easy.
The Syndicate’s security grid was on full lockdown. Every exit was sealed. Every AI-controlled turret was scanning for movement.
And then—
A deafening explosion rocked the chamber.
The enforcers had stopped waiting.
They were coming in.

The first shot came fast—a plasma bolt sizzled past Rayan’s shoulder, melting a section of the holo-console.
He dived for cover, drawing his pulse blaster in one fluid motion.
Two enforcers advanced, their visors glowing an eerie red. Syndicate elites—trained to kill and erase without hesitation.
Rayan fired first. A direct hit. One enforcer dropped, his armor sparking. The second dodged and returned fire—a near miss that shattered a terminal behind Rayan.
The room was turning into a war zone.
And time was running out.
Rayan’s wrist display blinked—Transfer Complete.
The Shadow Algorithm was no longer in the Syndicate’s hands. It was his.
Now he just had to survive long enough to use it.

"Selene, I need an exit. Now!"
"Working on it—hold them off for thirty seconds!"
Rayan grit his teeth. Thirty seconds was an eternity in a firefight.
The enforcers pressed forward, weapons trained.
He was out of cover. Out of time.
Then—
CRASH!
A transport drone smashed through the ceiling, sending debris raining down. From its open hatch, Selene Varos leaned out, arm extended.
"Jump!" she shouted.
Rayan ran for the edge of the platform, plasma fire scorching the ground behind him—
And leaped.
The wind roared in his ears. For a split second, he was weightless.
Selene grabbed his hand and hauled him into the drone just as it veered away from the collapsing structure below.
Behind them, the Syndicate’s archive erupted in flames.
The system was breaking.
And they had just stolen its greatest secret.
