His breath was steady, but his pulse raced. This was not just a heist.

The Algorithm That Shouldn’t Exist

Rayan had spent years trying to expose the Syndicate's corruption. Every report buried. Every complaint erased. Every attempt to fight back met with silence.

But then he had learned of Project Sentinel.

A self-learning AI designed to monitor every transaction, every movement, every whisper across the Syndicate’s empire. It wasn’t just surveillance—it was control.

People like him.

People who asked too many questions.

The Infiltration

Selene Varos had warned him: "Once you break in, the system will know. The only way out is to destroy it before it destroys you."

And there, near the top: Rayan Vadra – Status: Erasure Pending.

His stomach clenched. He was already dead in the system’s eyes. A ghost walking.

But then he saw the next name.

Selene Varos – Status: Active Tracking.

His hands froze over the console. She was still out there, still alive—but not for long if the system found her.

A low vibration pulsed beneath his feet. The Sentinels had been activated.

They were coming.

The Fight for Control

Rayan had seconds to act. He couldn’t destroy the system completely—not yet. But he could take control.

With a deep breath, he rewrote the access protocols, rerouting Sentinel control to a new encrypted location. His location.

For the first time, the hunter had become the architect.

Alarms screamed. The door behind him hissed open. He turned, pulse blaster raised—

A Syndicate enforcer stepped forward, helmet reflecting the red emergency lights.

“Vadya, Vadya, Vadya…” The enforcer’s voice was laced with amusement. “You should have stayed dead.”

Rayan fired first.
