Chronic Stress, Heart Attack, Stroke, Autoimmune Disease and Unexpressed Emotions

“Unexpressed emotions will never die. They are buried alive and will come forth later in uglier ways.” ― Sigmund Freud

Emotions and the Immune System

Neuropeptides and their receptors, also called the “molecules of emotion”, are in constant communication with the #immunesystem, the mechanism behind the creation of health and disease.

There is substantial epidemiological evidence proving the correlation between our emotional state and attitude, and the state of health we are in.

One of such examples is the fact that immune system cells produce peptides that either increase or decrease the build-up of plaque in arteries, the main factor in causing #heartattacks.

Statistics show that people suffer from more heart attacks on days of high emotional stress like Monday mornings and after long holiday seasons such as Christmas or the Chinese New Year.

#Viruses, for instance, use the same receptors as #neuropeptides to enter cells and whether we succumb to the virus or not depends on our state of mind, hence some people get sicker than others despite being exposed to the same dose of virus.

How do we create unexpressed emotions?

Unexpressed #emotions are connected to childhood #traumas and hurtful events that were never processed. Processing emotions means to feel those unpleasant emotions, facing the hurtful event, and confronting the people who co-created this unpleasant experience. #Forgiveness and #compassion play a crucial role in this process.

All this is done during a very relaxing meditative state. When processed this way, at the emotional level, the trauma and hurt can be released and the #stress connected to it, eliminated. ??

I have worked with people who suffered from HEART ATTACK and STROKES in their early thirties and with others who developed debilitating #AUTOIMMUNE disease in their teens and twenties. What did these people have in common? CHRONIC STRESS due to unexpressed emotions, unprocessed hurtful events from the past.

And are You still a host to unprocessed traumas and would like to make #peace with the past? If yes, I will be happy to listen to you. I am a loving #Empath with a #gentle approach. Our first 60min talk is free of charge.

Taking a small step toward your mental health is taking a huge one toward your physical wellbeing.
