A dynamic, suspenseful thriller with a serious splash of humor… Distressing visions of his revolutionary creation falling into the wrong hands compel inventor Trey Radisson to destroy his prototype before it can be replicated. But his priceless knowledge is now being sought by the Chromes—a malicious paramilitary force and the free world’s greatest threat. When Trey resists the high-tech radicals and learns some of their secrets, his journey becomes a high-speed, roadblock-riddled chase. A brush with the extremists in Colorado leads to a mix-up that makes Trey the most wanted man in the nation. He is joined by Sonya McCall, a gun-toting biker fleeing from her own rocky past—and the only witness of what really went down in Colorado. Now the zany duo must evade all who scour the country for them. They find hazard, hilarity, and horror at every turn as they search and pray for a way to reset their troubled lives.

You Won't Be Disappointed, Review by Ariel Wolf

This is the first novel I’ve read by Ben Schneider and I’m confident that it won’t be the last. The carefully crafted alternative universe that the reader is thrust into in Chrome Mountain is both creative and surreal, captivating enough to ensure you won’t want to put this quick read down, but not too immersive that you miss important details, as is what can be the norm for action thriller-type novels. Troy & Sonja are the reliable characters of a fantasy novel dream, and not once did I find myself getting annoyed with their dynamic chemistry, witty banter, or even their eventual love story.

Everything in this novel was right where it should have been, and the desire to be different from the rest of these types of novels shines brightly from Schneider. I challenge anyone who, like me, stays away from fantasy novels, to take a chance on this one—you won’t be disappointed!

Following is a customer Review by Action-packed & Ready to Go! Review by Cydney R.

This is a universe like no other crafted brilliantly by Ben Schneider in which you learn the lesson of how knowledge will ALWAYS get you ahead through a series of action-packed, well-written sequences that kept me on the edge of my seat. There’s a love story between Trey and Sonya that isn’t too over the top, but it also isn’t glossed over because their chemistry was palpable and it just WORKED.

While running away from CHROME, a group of terrorists, Trey & Sonja lead the reader on a realistic, thrilling journey that had me up late turning the pages! I could easily see this quick, easy read on the big screen someday. Needless to say, I was sad when it ended, but I’m glad Schneider ended it cleanly so that I wasn’t left feeling like there had to be a second part.

Good one!! Review by Calvin

This series is very good, top of the rank among suspense novels. Atmospheric. Wonderful characters, none irrelevant. All of them are excellent, this one too. The story continues with adventure after adventure across the country as Trey and Sonya are captured and escape. Pursuit and evasion continue until the very end. All in all, I found this book enjoyable. I think, everyone should read it.
