Tis the season to be a jolly and generous!??

Brentford East Cllr Marina Sharma is leading the way and has donated her £1000 Thriving Community funding to the Hounslow Foodbox, based in Brentford.??

Donations like these go a long way to supporting families during the festive period - if you want to donate, you can do so online ?or by visiting the guys at Rose Community Centre on Hawthorn Road in Brentford (TW8 8NT).

There a plenty of other opportunities to do your bit across the borough, whether you want to donate or volunteer.?That’s a Wrap’s ?Toy appeal still has a week to run if you want to brighten the Christmas of kids who may be excluded from festivities.?They’ll be accepting donations until 15 December at Access Storage Isleworth, 592 London Road, TW7 4EY.

Elsewhere, there are two local charities looking for any warm winter coats you can donate to those in need as we enter the colder months.?Feltham Hira ?are accepting them at 102 Hounslow Road, TW14 0AX while St Lukes Church in Hounslow are also after winter coats plus good condition trainers, winter hats and scarves, new underwear, ladies’ leggings, rucksacks and foldable umbrellas.?St Lukes are in Kingsley Road, Hounslow East TW3 4AB.??
