Christmas Workshop Brings Joy to Children of Essex Furukawa Employees in Serbia

The Essex Furukawa team in Zrenjanin, Serbia enjoyed the return of its beloved Christmas workshop for the children of its employees. The heartwarming tradition—which began when the plant opened in 2018—aims to spread holiday cheer and create lasting memories for the young ones each year.

The highlight of the event was the arrival of Santa Claus himself, who made a special appearance at the plant to distribute presents to the children. With added excitement in the air, the little ones then had the opportunity to meet with Jolly Ole Saint Nick, take memorable photos, and receive gifts that brought smiles to their faces.

?“We were thrilled to bring back the Christmas workshop for the kids,” Ivana Avdic, HR Business Partner for the plant said. “It was truly heartwarming to see everyone sharing in the joy and excitement. We hope this event continues to provide the true holiday spirit throughout our Essex Furukawa family.”

In light of the challenges posed by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, last year’s workshop had to be canceled. Essex Furukawa understands the importance of safety and ensured that all necessary health and environmental measures were strictly followed during the event.

This year, the event returned in a big way, continuing the cherished tradition that Avdic created nearly five years prior.

The Christmas workshop was accentuated by the festive atmosphere created with a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and an interactive experience with parents actively participating alongside their children.

In addition to the workshop, vouchers to local stores where gifted to the nearly 100 children of employees, aged 0-12 years. Avdic believes in the power of spirited giving and intends to make each holiday season extra special for the young ones.
