Christmas Wish, a Prayer.

Amid the glow of Christmas lights,

A wish takes flight on this holy night.

Not for gifts or fleeting cheer,

But for a world to hold more dear.

Where hands once raised in hate can cease,

And hearts may find a path to peace.

Where walls of fear and scorn divide,

Let understanding turn the tide.

?

For every voice, a song to sing,

Each faith and flag, is a sacred thing.

No creed too small, no color dim,

Each life is a verse in heaven's hymn.

?

Let not the sword or spiteful word

Define the future's tender chord.

But kindness, patience, courage true,

To find the dignity in you.

?

For though we're many, still we're one,

Beneath the same eternal sun.

This Christmas, may we dare to see

The beauty in diversity.

?

So, let the bells of mercy ring,

For every child and living thing.

A better way, a brighter morn,

Where peace on Earth can be reborn.
