Unboring comms training that taps into your creativity, grows your confidence and helps you make a powerful impact
Hello!?Hel Reynolds?here, delivering 3 minutes of tasty brain snacks for you.
It's another short, sweet one as Lesley and I work with the team putting all our?love and energy getting ready for the relaunch of our incredible new?Comms Creative Academy.
Get a cuppa, and let's go.
Comms Creatives content of the week
Content of the week this week comes from our pals at? Manchester City Council .
Huge congrats to Lydia and Zahra who have both recently completed our?Social Media Expert Course.
They've been putting their massive bag of skills into action, and I love?this?TikTok?about the Christmas markets, that's had huge engagement and great results.
I love Manchester's Piccadilly Gardens at Christmas time!
And what I like about this post is what shines through is?that the two people who made it love their city and love Christmas.
If you love your job, it shows in your content, and your audience feel that authentic passion of what you're doing.
I know sometimes, we can all get overwhelmed, jaded, and just need to bang stuff out.
But loads of engagement on this post comes from an audience who are?sharing?in the delight of what Manchester Council is showing them.
The good vibes come through.
The teachable moment here is that?a lot of brands spend a lot of time commissioning slick content - getting in video producers, or doing a big one-off launch and then moving on to the next project.
It can take weeks or months.
But actually all they need to do is something quick and simple on their mobiles that's timely and real.
On social media, the content made-in-house on phones?feels native to the platform.?
It often outperforms the perfect, snazzy content that can look like a TV?advert, not social content.?
Especially if your enthusiasm for what you're promoting comes through.
(An extra bonus is they've used Shakin' Stevens?for the background music which, if you're a regular reader, you'll know will please Lesley no end!)
Made quickly on my phone?with love
Get creative, make something cheap and quick - especially when it's a popular service, product or event with your audience.
