Christmas time

Will you adopt a family this Christmas?

How are we teaching our kids that others are less fortunate? How are we ensuring every New Zealand Child gets a Christmas Present? How are we all paying it forward?

For my family it's about adopting a family this Christmas via the Salvation Army's Christmas programme.  

“Adopt a family” the Christmas programme which kicks off annually by the Salvation Army. They are now in their fourteenth year with numbers of families and donors growing significantly each year. 

For my family, this is an amazing time for our Children to think about other families and how they can make a small difference. They are planning, buying and wrapping gifts that they get to choose and send with a card. It has stimulated a conversation which kicked off when our amazing Nanny started cooking with our children to feed the homeless each month. This generous act has the three of them cooking and delivering to Nelson Street where our children get to see that not everyone has what they are so fortunate to have.
